Water Colour Paintings

Painting with water colours (in German Aquarell, from latin aqua = water) for me was the beginning of painting in general. Primarily this was the only kind of painting, that I wanted to practice and learn. A variety of basic techniques, like glazing or wet-in-wet colouring allow a lot of interpretations. I´m fascinated by representational work, but I feel also (and this more and more) the attraction of abstracts. Mostly with filigree and softly hinted shapes, sometimes also with intensive use of colours.

First of all the idea was to reach an accurate image with filigree brush-strokes, meanwhile I  more and more enjoy to try abstracts…
